Hi, I’m Jas Mardis. Previously a Writer, Storyteller, Poet and Editor of “KenteCloth: Southwest Voices of the African Diaspora” for UNT press. I was awarded the 2000 Pushcart Prize for Poetry; multiple GRIOT Awards for Radio Commentary and in 2014 was inducted to The Texas Literary Hall of Fame. I am a Quilter and Leather Portrait Artist.
