About The Piece: Fabric Art Quilting featuring: stamping, tie dye on a vintage linen with hand drawn portrait on leather using pyrography technique. This fabric art piece uses the craft form of tie-dye as a landscape and backdrop of familiarity, but on a bedskirt, instead of a t-shirt to invite the idea of adoration and relationship. I have drawn the woman on leather to invite the idea of a long lasting and permanent adoration of her in a moment of enjoying her in the effect of the sun. The images of shells or nature or fossils are included to suggest her beauty is natural and ancestral .
