The Family Story Project

The Family Story Project is a set of four workshops designed to build a narrative that you can share with your family members about the lives and experiences of your ancestors. That narrative or story is a combination of the stories that you have heard and told over the years. The workshop uses 10 charts to build your story. We use a basic Pedigree Chart to aid in staying focused as we lay out the basic stories of four generations. In some cases a visual document is created to display in your home to further extend the family knowledge. Jas Mardis is the Workshop Leader and has been conducting the FSP since 1999 when he was a Touring Artist with the City of Dallas’ Neighborhood Touring Program.
